Is it something that bothers you, or are you okay with it?

  3. Lindsay says:

    this is a little disturbing…

It’s a variation of a line from Steve Jobs:

“‘If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?’ And whenever the answer has been ‘No’ for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.”

but, if i lived as though every day was the last day of my life, every day i would be doing something crazy – traveling to exotic places, etc. in reality, i have to do things like go to school and earn money in order to do those things – but school and work are not the things i would want to do on the last day of my life.

  6. Dan says:

absolutely. it’s always going to be a balance between those things that you really want to do and those things that you have to do to make a living. we hope they coincide, but they often don’t. my hope is that i never get so caught up in the latter that i forget about the former. for me, thinking about what i’m going to do today and how it aligns with my life goals helps me keep my eye on the ball.

but you know, it’s okay to do crazy things too :)
