this is not related to your post (though i definitely agree that unexpected and rich conversations can be drawn from a sincere and inviting “hi”–we often move through our “hectic” lives in such a daze that we fail to notice all the amazing people and conversations that surround us each and every day; it’s often the most fulfilling and memorable aspect of my day, conversation that is–both with friends aannd strangers), but i really like your new front page banner very classy, bro.
